Meet monica bailey, lcsw

Lasting change begins with understanding.

A woman with curly brown hair and blue eyes, wearing a green hoodie, sitting indoors with her hands resting on her arm, wearing beaded bracelets, smiling softly at the camera.

I’m an online therapist based in Texarkana, TX and serving clients across TX, AR, & UT.

You know something needs to change — you just don’t know how to get there.

You’ve told yourself to stop overthinking, but your mind still replays conversations long after they’re over. You’ve promised yourself you’d be more patient with your spouse, only to find yourselves having the same argument a week later. You’ve tried to carry the stress on your own because asking for help felt harder than pretending everything was fine.

Maybe you’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts, leaned on your faith, or talked things through with people you trust. You’ve put in the effort because you want things to be different.

You’re realizing you don’t want to spend years talking about your problems—you want to understand them, and then do something about them.

You want practical tools that help you navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence, strengthen your relationships, and feel more at home in yourself.

That’s the work we can do together.

how i work

I believe healing happens when you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and choices.

Each one influences the others—that means even small, intentional shifts in one can deeply impact everything. Together, we’ll identify the places where anxiety, conflict, or discouragement has been making your decisions for you, then practice new ways of responding that better reflect your values, your goals, and the person you want to become.

For couples, that often means learning new ways to communicate that build trust, repair hurt as it happens, and strengthen your connection before resentment has a chance to grow. For individuals, it means learning how to challenge unhelpful thoughts, respond to difficult emotions with greater intention, and make choices that align with the life you want to create.

But the most important work? That happens between sessions.

Real healing doesn’t happen during the fifty minutes we spend together each week. It happens in the homework: the conversations you have with your spouse, the way you respond when anxiety shows up on a Tuesday afternoon, and the small choices you make every day.

Therapy is where we learn and practice those skills. Life is where they become lasting change.

What you can expect.

Honest Conversations

I’ll meet you with warmth and compassion, but I’ll also challenge you when needed. Growth often comes from seeing familiar situations in a new way.

A collaborative approach

We’ll work to identify your goals and create a plan that reflects your values, your strengths, and the life you’re hoping to build.

Practical Tools

You’ll leave sessions with strategies you can begin applying in your everyday life—action, not just insight.

Progress not perfection

Real change happens one intentional choice at a time. I’ll help you recognize and celebrate those small shifts, because they lead to genuine transformation.
